Professional teaching and administration

2020–Present

Montana Christian College

President

Kalispell, MT

The President must view the success of the student as the success of the College; one cannot exist without the other. Rebuilding Montana Christian College had to keep graduating students as the end in view.

  • Rebuilt the academic team, securing an academically qualified Registrar and VPAA.
  • Created a recruitment team that appealed to churches, Christian academies, and homeschool networks.
  • Prioritized fundraising by hiring a VP of Advancement and implementing Raiser’s Edge. In its 50-year history, MCC had never had an Office of Advancement.
  • Hired faculty who met and exceeded accreditation standards.
  • Secured proper maintenance personnel and hired qualified administrative staff, including an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager.
  • Rewrote Student, Faculty, and Administrative Handbooks with new policies and procedures.
  • Worked with faculty and staff to guard the spiritual and emotional morale of the MCC team.
  • Implemented short- and long-term growth plans, including the three-year Harvest recruitment plan.
  • Hired a CFO and collaborated with him and the Board of Directors to prepare, submit, and administer the annual budget.
  • Worked with the VPAA to prioritize degrees, faculty, and student needs, implementing the Educational Program and restructuring the BA in Christian Leadership to include emphases (minors) in key areas.
  • Reached out to local politicians, state representatives, the Lieutenant Governor, and the Governor of Montana, and met local businesspeople so that MCC is known in the state.
  • Hosted the 2023 Montana Southern Baptist Convention meeting on campus, reestablished relationships with MTSBC agency personnel and pastors, and preached in many of the churches.
  • Established rapport with surrounding convention executive directors.
